Congratulations Milford Red Sox Players Jerrell Allen and Devon Reed. They were selected in the 11th and 20th rounds in the Minor League draft. Allen was drafted by the Kansas City Royals, and Reed by the Florida Marlins. Great news for some great players, but we'll miss them in the Legion games if they sign.

Former Delvets player Paul Cusick
was also drafted in the 29th round by the Philadelphia Phillies. Congrats Paul

June 9th
DE Post 1 - 12, Durney Post 27 - 8:
Evan Hughes was 3-4 with 3 runs scored, Kyle Lynch was 2-3 with a walk and two runs scored. Nick Trimarco (1-0) got the win in relief.
Sam Goines was 2-4 with two runs scored and Zack Cook was 1-4 with two runs scored for Post 27

Doubles:
Post 1 - Trimarco,  DP27 Cook, Goines.

Fox Post 2 - 24, Milford Red Sox - 1: 24 runs on 25 Hits says it all for Fox Post #2, as they sprayed the ball all over the Milford Red Sox field. 

2 Fox Post players went yard in the game. Mitch Moore hit a grand slam in the 3rd, and Brandon Barber added another grand slam in the 5th to add to the unreachable lead they had built. 

Try as they may Milford hitters couldn't hit their stride from the previous night as the Post 2 pitchers only allowed 2 hits from Jason Parker and Gage Betts in the third inning. George Michael hit the ball past the second baseman  to score Milfords only run
on an error.

Delvets - 15, R.C. DuPont - 3 (5): Connor McHugh (1-0) pitched a complete game for his first win of the season and the Delvets bats came alive in the 3rd inning scoring 12 runs. The offense was led by Mike Annone , Kevin Czacharowski, Greg Miraglia who all had 2 hits and Adam Mills who had 3 hits.

Dan Kotula sparked RC early with a first inning towering leadoff Home Run to Center and ended the game with 2 hits.

Stahl Post 30 - 11, Post 10 Newark - 1 (5): Donovan May had 3 hits and 3 runs scored, Brendon Fallers had 3 runs scored, Derrick May had 2 hits, 2 runs scored with 2 RBIs. Kenny Thomas got the win with 5 Ks.

June 8th
Milford Red Sox - 8, Sussex West Post 6 Patriots - 3: The Milford Red Sox (1-2) won their first game Wednesday, beating Sussex West Post 6 Patriots 8-3.

Milford batters hammered Post 6's pitching, pounding out 10 hits on their way to the win. Cody Watson doubled and tripled in the game. He also scored twice and drove in 2 additional runs. 7 of Milford's players hit safely in the game.Watson and George Michael had 2 RBI's each.

For the Patriots, Matt King and Justin Allen both doubled. Jamil Moore drove in the Pat's first 2 runs on a dropped pop-up that allowed two runs to score.

George Michael got the win in relief of Michael Poughty. Nick Cooper took the loss for the Patriots.  


June 7th
Delvets Post 1 - 11, Durney Post 27 - 7: DelVets rolled into Stanton and pounded out 11 hits against starter DJ Miller, Miller struck out nine in the loss.

Ty Hawthorn went 2-2 Including a solo Home Run. Zack Cook 2-2 had two hits a triple and a homer. Sam Goines 2-3 had two hits including a ground rule double three stolen bases including stealing home in the 5th inning.

Delvets' Kyle Menchaca went 2-4 including a double and a homerun. Mike Laplanta 3-4 had 3 hits and Mike Annone 2-4 had two hits also. Kyle Manchaca struck out eight and got the win.

Fox Post 2 - 6, Sussex West Patriots  Post 6 - 5: The Post 6 Patriots took an early 3-1 lead over Fox Post 2, but the top of the Post 2 order came alive in the 3rd, as Zach Mawson homered to right field, followed by back to back singles by Stephan Barr and Gary Jones. Mitch Moore reached on an error but also drove in another run. Kevin O'Shea hit out to 2nd base, but a fourth run scored, and Fox never surrendered the lead.

The Patriots came back in the seventh, as Tyler Absher hit his 2nd single of the night, followed by Tony Guinta's pinch hit single. Benny Smith, running for the catcher scored on Taylor Baynum's fielder's choice. Baynum later scored for the Pats, but it was too little too late.

Connor Cooper doubled for Post 6, Mitch Moore doubled for Fox Post 2, and Mawson hit a 330ft home run into right field. Bobby Brown (1-0) got the win for Fox Post 2, Tommy Dill the save. Connor Cooper (0-1) took the loss for the Patriots.

Jared Fersch went 3-4 and scored 3 runs and Jack Donnely was 3-4 and 2 runs scored to lead RC to the win. Evan Hughes was 3-5 with 3 runs and Mike Calvarese was 3-3 and scored a pair of runs for DE Post 1.  

Spooner Post 17 - 6,  Milford Red Sox - 1


June 4
Game 1: Spooner Post 17 - 6, DE Post 1 - 5
Game 2: DE Post 1 - 16, Spooner Post 17 - 9

Game 1: Post 25 Firehawks - 13, Post 6 Patriots - 3: Chris Doherty batted 4 for 4 with 2 triples scoring 3 times, with 3 RBIs. Andrew Blanford also doubled. Frank Samluk bated 3 for 4 scoring 3 runs plus 2 RBIs, and Alex Zwier batted 1 for 4 with 3 RBIs. Samluk (1-0) also took the win striking out 8 in 5 innings of work. Jason Owens doubled for the Patriots.

Game 2: Post 25 Firehawks - 13, Post 6 Patriots - 2 (5): Conner Asbee, Frank Samluk and Alex Zwier all homered for Post 25. Asbee also batted 3 for 3 with 4 RBI's and pitched the first 3 innings, striking out 3 batters. Samluk also doubled and had 3 RBI's. Rob Margis (1-0) got the win in relief of Conner Asbee for Post 25.

June 3
Post 28 Warriors - 9, Milford Red Sox 0

June 2nd
R.C. DuPont hosts Durney Post 27 at Brandywine HS, - Suspended in the top of the 7th, R.C. DuPont leading 13-11. Game will be finished July 5th at Brandywine HS.

Spoooner Post 17 - 7, Post 6 Patriots 5 - at Seaford: HS: Mike Ekridge hit 3 doubles for Post 17, and Brent McDowell (1-0) scattered five hits to get the win.

Post 17 put up 5 runs in the 4th inning, bringing 9 batters to the plate. Shawn Davis drove in two runs with a single, then scored on Mike Schlitter's single to right. Schlitter scored on Eckridge's second double which also scored pinch runner Ryan Muchmore.

Post 6 mounted a comeback in the sixth inning, after Catcher Tyler Absher reached on an error, courtesy runner Scott Bradey advanced to 3rd on Benny King's double, with both scoring on a single from Justin Allen.

In the bottom of the 7th, the Patriots took advantage of Brady Scott's double, then 4 consecutive walks and a passed ball to score 2 runs, then Ryan McCulley hit a sacrifice fly that scored a third, but Schlitter struck out Nate Justice to end the game.

Casey Zitvogel (0-1) took the loss for the Patriots.

Delaware Post 1 - 7, Delvets Post 1 - 3: Delaware Post 1 won their first game behind 11 hits and and a 4 hits pitching performance from Kyle Bannon & Dave Beiderman.

With Delaware Post 1 down 3-2 in the top of the7th Kyle Lynch started a rally which led to 5 runs. Connor McHugh pitched 6 strong innings for Devets Post 1.-
