Post 25 - 13, Delvets - 1
Ryan Zwier racked up nine RBIs on three hits for Post 25 Baseball (2-1). He homered in the third and fourth innings and doubled in the fifth inning as Post 25 Baseball blew out Delvets thanks to nine hits, including five extra base hits including three home runs in the win. Home runs for Post 25 Baseball came when Shane Feehery homered in the third inning and Ryan Zwier homered in the third and fourth innings.
Anthony Modica got the win for Post 25 Baseball. He allowed one run over four innings. Anthony struck out three, walked two and gave up two hits. Schell took the loss for Delvets.
The game's last lead went to Post 25 Baseball thanks to a third inning rally that saw five runs cross the plate on two three-run home runs. Post 25 Baseball built upon its lead with five runs in the fourth. Ryan hit a grand slam, plating Connor Stevens and Dan Tovar to start the inning. That was followed up by Shane Feehery's single, plating Matt Taylor.
They later increased their lead with three runs in the fifth. A double by Ryan Zwier ignited the offense,, plating Dan Tovar and Chad Bell. That was followed up by Matt Taylor's double, scoring Zwier
Post 25 - 2, Delvets - 1
Post 25 Baseball didn't provide Garrett Maniatis with much support, but he didn't need much. Maniatis pitched six strong innings to carry Post 25 Baseball to a 2-1 win over Delvets in seven innings on Saturday.
Post 25 Baseball pushed one run across in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly by Shane Horn to start the scoring for Post 25, then Ryan Zwier pushed Post 25 Baseball ahead, in the sixth inning, a lead that lasted until the final out. The run came from Connor Stevens who walked to get on base in the sixth. He then went from first to second on a groundout by Chad Bell and scored on Horn's SAC Fly.
J Harris took the loss for Delvets. He lasted seven innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed two runs.
Post 25 Baseball closer Shane Feehery put away Delvets for the final three outs to record the save although the potential tying run was called out at the plate to end the game.
Post 10 Generals - 6, Post 6 Patriots - 5
The Generals (1-0) had to come back twice in both the 6th and 7th innings to beat the Patriots (0-1) on a throwing error with a man on 3rd. Tony Guinta had the only double for the Patriots and drove in 2 runs. Eric Rowe batted 2 for 3 and scored twice.
C.J. Morton got the win in relief.
Post 3 Milford - 6, Durney Post 27 - 0
Milford (1-1) took advantage of Durney's (1-1) poor fielding, combined with four timely hits to get their first win of the new season. Milford pitcher Reed pitched a complete game shut-out allowing only one hit.
Durney Post 27 - 5, Post 3 Milford - 2
Durney's Matt Trincia hit a bases loaded single with and error plating 3 runs as Durney erased a 2 run deficit in the bottom of the 4th inning. In the sixth inning, Durney's Anthony Madonna added a 2 run single. Zac Cunningham got the complete game win.
R.C. DuPont - 7, Durney Post 27 - 0
R.C. Dupont (2-0) pitcher Joey Voge pitched a complete game shutout, shutting down Durney's offense allowing just 3 hits while striking out 9. Voge also batted 2 for 4 in the game. Trincia took the loss for Durney
R.C. DuPont - 14, Middletown Post 25 - 3 (5)
R.C. (1-0) scores 7 in the 2nd and 4 in the 3rd, to win their opener over Middletown (0-1) 14-3 in 5 innings. John Androli, Jake Blewitt, Mike Forwood & Justin Doran all had 2 hits each to lead R.C. to its first win of the season. Post 25's Matt Hooks had 2 hits in the game.
