Game 1 - R.C. DuPont Post 18 Aviators - 7,  Nanticoke Post 6 Patriots - 5: Game 1: Leading 4-2 in the 4th, the R.C. DuPont Aviators put up 3 runs in the 4th to take a commanding 7-2 lead. R.C. was led by shortstop Max Carey, who drove in 2 runs, scored a third and batted 3 for 4. Chuck Brooks also drove in 2 and scored while Beau Owens struck out 7 and only allowed 2 runs.

But in the top of the 7th, cody Wilkerson led off with a single, and Brent Adams then walked. With Wilkerson on 3rd, Eric Wharton hit a sacrifice fly to score Wilkerson. Bruce Mosley drew a walk, and Tyler Absher hit a double that scored 2 and left the Patriots just two runs behind. But Brooks struck out Kole Hearn to end the game and preserve the win for RC.

Game 2 - R.C. DuPont Post 18 Aviators - 7, Nanticoke Post 6 Patriots - 0: R. C. DuPont's batters again scored 7 runs, and Lefty Joe Brady shut out the Patriots tossing 5 strikeouts. Max Carney continued his hitting streak, batting 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs and a double,  Tim Miller, Dan Klusman and Chuck Brooks also doubled for R.C.

Post 6's Cody Wilkerson and Tyler Absher also doubled but the rest of the Patriot bats fell silent giving Brady his 4 hit shutout.

Game 1 - Post 10 Generals -4, Milford Post 3 - 3 After a rain shower delayed the start of the game for a half hour right after infield practice the Post 10 Generals jumped out to a 4-0 lead after 2 innings. Post 10 would not score again in the contest. Milford Post 3 scored 1 in the 4th. In the bottom of the 5th Milford loaded the bases with no out, but winning pitcher Tyler Hansen was able to hold strong and pitched into 3 groundouts.

In the Bottom of the 7th Milford came out swinging on reliever Brett Marien who surrendered 4 hits and 2 runs before collecting 3 outs.
Post 10 hitters were held to 4 singles but were walked 6 times. Milford batters had 10 hits with Kain Johnson 2/3, Dylan Sammons 2/4 with a triple, and Noah Piper 2/3.
 
Game 2 -  Post 10 Generals - 13, Milford Post 3 - 1 (5):  Milford led 1-0 after the first 3. Post 10 then scored 7 times in the top of the 4th and 6 more in the top of the 5th on 12 hits and 9 walks. For Post 10 Matt Downey was 2/2 with 2BB and a double, Charlie Ciafardo was 3/4.  Eric Rowe gets the win with David Gibbs picking up the save.

Game 1 - Post 25 Middletown - 12, Durney Post 27 - 6: Vince Riggirio did his best to will Durney Post 27 to a win with a two-hit game, but Durney Post 27 dropped a 12-6 contest to Post 25 Middletown on Sunday at Stanton Middle School. Two of Durney Post 27's runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Vince. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Post 25 Middletown was sparked by Casey Parks and Quincy Waite who had three hits each Chad Bell and Matt Taygor also added two hits. The game was never in doubt after the first, as Post 25 Middletown scored nine runs.

Five runs crossed the plate for Durney in the bottom half of the fifth, making the score 11-6. A two-run double by Jake Bartlett, a two-run double by Tyler Hill, and an RBI single by Vince sparked Durney Post 27's rally.

Game 2 - Post 25 Middletown 13, Durney Post 27 -4: Anthony Modica got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He allowed four runs over four innings. Post 25 Middletown pounded Durney Post 27 pitching, as six hitters combined for 14 hits, nine RBIs and 10 runs scored.

The game was never in doubt after the first, as Post 25 Middletown scored three runs on an RBI double by Chad Bell and two singles.

Three runs in the bottom of the third helped Durney Post 27 close its deficit to 6-3. A two-run triple by Zach Rumford gave Durney Post 27 life. Finally, Modica induced an inning-ending fly out from Evan Mitchell.

Post 25 Middletown tacked on another five runs in the fourth. A ground out scored Quincy Waite for the inning's first run. That was followed up by  Rob Pitroli's single, plating Casey Parks. Rob Pitroli had 3 hits in the night cap.


Saturday, June 22, 2013:
Game 1 - Post 10 Generals - 3, Fox Post 2 - 0: 
Matthew Downey pitched a complete game shutout to lead Post 10 to a 3 to 0 win over Fox Post Two.  Downey gave up 5 hits and had 5 strikeouts. For Fox Post Kenny Anderson had a no-hitter until the top of the 6th inning. Post 10 scored 3 runs in the top of the seventh on hits by Michael Cipoola, Tyler Hansen, Dylan Beeson and Matt Armistead(double).  Sean Pool had two hits for Fox Post.

Game 2 - Fox Post 2 - 4, Post 10 Generals - 1:
In a well pitch game Fox Post Two beat Post 10 4 to 1.  Seth Penniston was the winning pitcher giving up 1 run on 3 hits.  Losing pitcher Michael Cipolla only gave up 2 hits and 2 earn runs for Post 10.  In the first inning Lee Killen single home two runs for Fox Post. Michael Pool had a double for the only other Fox Post hit. Tyler Hansen scored the only run for Post 10.

Game 1 - DE Post 1 - 13, Post 25 Middletown - 2:
Post 1 -  Grasso went 2 for 5 including a 3 run Home Run, Cooney went 2 for 3. McCracken went 2 for 4
Post 25 - Chad Bell and Quincy Waite each had an RBI

Game 2 - Post 25 Middletown - 7, DE Post 1 - 2:
Delaware Post 1 - Swain went 2 for 4.  Middletown Post 25 - Connor Stevens went 3 for 4, Casey Parks went 2 for 3 with  2 RBI
Garrett Maniatis pitched a complete game giving up just 4 hits for the win, Losing Pitcher - McCracken

Milford Post 3 - 10, Delvets Post 1 - 0:
Milford Post 3 shutout  DelVets Post 1 10-0 in 6 innings in a game played at the Woodbridge Athletic Complex. The Milford Post 3 defense had an errorless effort in support of Garrett Coverdale's 2 hit, 4 K, 1 BB shutout. Milford hitters pounded out 14 hits for their first win of the season.  Tanner King was 2 for 4, Nick Marsch 2 for 4, Philip Berry was 2 for 3 with a 2B, Eric Belile 2 for 4 with a 2B, Jan Parson 2 for 3 and Noah Piper had a clutch pinch hit double in the bottom of the 6th which plated Tyler Kent and Phillip Berry to make the score 9-0. After advancing to third base Noah Piper scored the game winning run on a pitch in the dirt that got away from the catcher.
For DelVets Post 1 John Ratekevic and Jon Harris each singled. It is also noteworthy to mention the performance and sense of team displayed by Brannon McHugh who took a ball to the throat in the Bottom of the 6th and was able to return to the outfield for DelVets.

Durney Post 27 - 3, Post 6 Patriots 1: The Post 6 Patriots were not able to come back from the hole it dug itself into against Durney Post 27, losing 3-1 to Durney Post 27 after falling behind by three runs in the fourth inning. The Patriots scored one run in the seventh on an RBI single by Schaffner. Despite its efforts, Post six Patriots couldn't get over the hump.
Jon Taveras reached base three times in the game for Durney Post 27. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth inning. On the mound, Zach Rumford kept contact to a minimum, striking out seven Post six Patriots batters. He allowed no earned runs, four hits and three walks over seven innings.
The game was never in doubt after the third, as Durney Post 27 scored one run on an RBI double by Jake Bartlett. They piled on two more runs in the bottom of the fourth. Jon's single got things going, plating Evan Mitchell.
The seventh inning saw Post six Patriots score its only run on the day on an RBI single by Schaffner.

Thursday, June 20, 2013
Stahl Post 30 - 15, Delvets Post 1 - 7:
Stahl Post 30 remained undefeated as Lonnie Funderbuck picked up the win on the mound and also had 3 hits including a homerun and a double with 3 RBI's. Donovan May had 3 RBI's also for Stahl. Kyle Bacher had 2 doubles and Mike Annone was 2-2 with 3 walks and a double for Delvets.

Post 25 Middletown - 7, Milford Post 3 - 3:
The game was tied 3-3 through the first 6 innings of play. In the top of the 7th a lead off single by Shane Han and untimely errors by the Milford defense led to 4 runs crossing the plate from which Post 3 could not recover.

Anthony Madica gets the win going 6 innings surrendering 3 runs on 7 hits and 6 K's.
For Post 3 Kain Johnson had 8 K's in 6 2/3 rds on the bump.

Offensively for Post 25 Connor Stevens was 3 for 4, Mitch Clemons was 2 for 3 with a Fielders Choice and Shane Han was 2 for 4.
For Post 3 Philip Berry was 2 for 3 with 2 run Homerun and Nick Marsch was 2 for 3.

DE Post 1 - 11, Durney Post 27 - 1:
Delaware Post 1 defeated Durney Post 27 by a score of 11-1 in 6 innings. Connor Pijuan pitched 6 strong innings allowing only three hits for the win. Connor also helped himself at the plate going 2-3 with three RBI's. Both Dan Galati and Adrian Chinnery went 3-4 scoring a pair of runs. Evan Mitchell had a pair of hits for Durney Post 27.

Fox Post 2 - 6, Nanticoke Post 6 Patriots - 4:
Fox Post 2 jumped out to an early 6-0 lead, but the Patriots, led by Wyatt Richardson's 2 doubles, and 3 RBI's staged a late comeback to get within 2, scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th.

Mike Pool doubled for Post 2, Kyle Mace pitched 6 innings, allowing 2 runs. Seth Penniston pitched one inning of relief and allowed 2 more runs. Adam Absher took the loss for the Patriots.

Post 25 Middletown - 6, Post 10 Christiana - 5:
Chad Bell went 2 for 4 and knocked in the winning run in the bottom of the 7th, Casey Parks went 2 for 3 with 2 RB. J. Bautista hit a 2 run Home Run for Post 10.
