If you send it as a Word file attachment, you can use pictures and color for your notice (Black gets Boring). Please use an easily readable font as well as UPPER and lower case type (easier to read). Try to give at least 2 weeks lead time so it can be on the site for that long. (samples below) 4 This site has been created using Microsoft Publisher 2000® and is best viewed at a screen resolution of 800X600 or higher. 1024X768 is best (more of the page on screen, but smaller type) 5 Individual pictures that are on the site have been taken by either Don White, Bob Royland or myself and the majority of the graphics are available on the National American Legion Site for use on American Legion Web Sites. Remember, ALL Legion Graphics are copyrighted. If you wish to submit pictures, please use the jpeg format so they can be resized, cropped, etc and not lose any detail, also be certain to identify all those in the picture. 6 The background voice messages and music are somewhat new. If enough of you find them annoying or offensive, they can be easily removed. All of the music files are MIDI files, the voice files are MP3. 7 Only under SPECIAL circumstances and with full permission of those involved will addresses or phone numbers be posted on the site. If you wish to contact someone at a particular Post, use the locator page. It has all of the information that is currently available for each post. 8 Use the link below for Windows Update to keep your system problems to a minimum. The ZDNet links are for your other software. The Weather Channel link is customizable for your specific area. 9 And LAST But Not LEAST be absolutely certain your virus protection software is UP TO DATE! 10 Also, if you use Internet Explorer, the latest versions allow you to receive automatic notification of CRITICAL Windows updates. I highly recommend using them.
