Thursday, June 14th:
Post 3 Milford 10, Fox Post 2 - 2: 7 Runs in the 6th put the game out of reach. For Milford Johnson & King each recorded 2 hits, King with 2 runs, Halloran and Berry each with 2 RBI. Dover: Reicks with 2 hits and 2 RBITuesday, June 12th:
R.C. DuPont - 12 Post 10 Generals - 2 (5) Chuck Brooks pitched 4 innings to pick up the win and Matt shackledford pitched the 5th. Alex Ackley and Beau Owens went 3-4 Ackley scored 3 runs. Ryan Keffer went 2-3 with two runs scored. Bautista took the loss throwing 1 1/3 innings. Downey finished it out for Post 10
Post 25 Middletown - 9, Post 6 Patriots - 1: Solid pitching by Kyle Spotts led Post 25 giving up only 2 hits. Connor Stevens,Armando Estrada and Jim Scully all went 2 for 4 for Post 25. Ryan DeShaies pitched 3 scoreless innings to seal the win for Post 25. Korey Hearn knocked in the only run for Post 6. Post 6 committed 6 errors in the game.
DE Post 1 - 7, Durney Post 27 - 0: Pete Grasso pitched a complete game allowing only 1 hit and 2 walks to earn the win. Delaware Post 1 had 12 hits led by Greg Beran who went 3-4, and Adrian Chinner and Andrew Pic who both went 2-4. Ty Hill singled for Durney Post 27 in the bottom of the 6th inning to break up the no hitter.
Stahl Post 30 - 10, Delvets Post 1 - 0 (6): DeVante Parker pitched a 5 hit complete game with 5k's. Chad Bradford, Tyler Newton and Brandon Dooley each had 2 RBI's with Mike Melecon collecting 3 RBI's. Bradford, Newton, Dooley, and Melecon doubled for Stahl.
All Five games rained out - Durney at Stahl, Post 3 at Post 28, Post 6 at Post 2, R.C. DuPont at DE Post 1, and Delvets at Post 10 - all have unplayable fields. Check your team schedules for makeup dates.
Sunday, June 10th
Stahl Post 30 - 6, Post 6 Patriots - 1: The Post 6 Patriots (1-5) outhit Stahl Post 30 6-4 but 9 walks by Post 6 pitchers, good base running (9 stolen bases) and timely hitting by Stahl's batters gave Post 30 (2-1) an early lead that they never gave up.
Stahl's Tyler Newton struck out 7 and scattered those 6 hits, as Post 6 only threatened in the 6th inning. With two on, and no outs, Stahl's Brian Dooley grabbed a slow roller hit by Tony Guinta, stepped on 3rd and threw the runner out at first for a double play.
Post 6's Jordan Stanley batted 3 for 3 with one run scored. Chad Bradford had 3 RBI's for Stahl and Tyler Newton hit a 2 run Triple in the bottom of the 6th to ice the game for Post 30.
Saturday June 9th
Game 1: R.C. DuPont Post 18 - 11, Fox Post 2 - 1: RC DuPont scored 8 runs in the first three inning to take a 8 to 1 lead over Fox Post. For RC DuPont Beau Owens had 3 hits,3 runs scored and Jack Donnelly had 3 hite and 4 rbis.
Game 2: Fox Post 2 - 9, R.C. DuPont Post 18 - 4: Fox Post had 6 to 1 lead after 2 inning and held on to win 9 to 4.Alex Ackley had a hot bat for RC going 3 for 3.Seth Brosius had two hits, double 2 rbis Kevin O'shea went 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored and Michael Pool hit a key two run double to lead Fox Post to the win.Dan Riecks pitched a complete game with 8 k's.
Game 1: Post 25 Middletown - 9, DE Post 1 - 2: Middletown scored 7 runs in the 3rd and 4th innings to pace the win. Zach Cooney & Dan Galati scored runs for Post 1 in the first inning but M. Torres settled in and shuts down Post 1 the rest of the way to get the win.
Tunnell, Estrada, Zulkowski and Torres each had two hits for Post 25, Evan Hughes went 2-4 for Post 1
Game 2: DE Post 1 - 3, Post 25 Middletown - 2: Post 1's Zach Cooney gave up 1 hit in 5 innings to get the win and Ken Ciccoli held off a Post 25 rally for the Save. RJ Donovan was 1-2 with a walk and run scored for Post 1 and K Spotts was 1-1 with 2 walks for Post 25.
Durney Post 27 - 9, Post 6 Patriots - 8: Post 6's Jason Owens hit a 3 run home run, and Caine Collins batted 4 for 5 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI's, but the Durney Batters pounded out 10 hits, including a 3 for 3, 2 RBI effort from Rumford to outlast Post 6, 9-8 Saturday afternoon.
Besides Rumford, 3 other Post 27 batters had 2 RBI's, Hobbs, Barlett and Cunningham also contributed to the scoring as the teams jockeyed for the win. Post 6 tied the game 6-6 in the 4th, then scored 2 more in the seventh, but Durney had scored a go ahead run in the fifth, and scored 2 in the 6th as Hobbs and Bartlett hit back to back singles then scored.
Constanzo got the win in relief, Schaffner took the loss in relief.
Missing players due to The Blue Gold game caused the 2nd game to be postponed until later in the season.
The Double header between Stahl Post 30 and Milford Post 3 was postponed due to the Blue Gold Game. Post 28 had to forfeit two games to Delvets.
