Tuesday's (6/22) Games

The weather finally got to Legion Baseball Tuesday Night. Two games were postponed early, and another game didn't finish.

Sussex West Post 6 Patriots at Post 3 Milford Red Sox
Game 1 Continued from 6/3:
Post 6 - 4, Post 3 - 3:  Post 3 had a 3-0 lead, which looked as if it was going to hold as George Michael took the hill. for the Red Sox.

But Tyler Absher, Tyler Troyer, and Justin Allen changed that when they started the 7th inning with a bit of hit and run and all ended up scoring for Post 6. Justin Allen's single also drove in Absher, then Allen and Troyer scored to tie the game on Jordan Stanley's single out to right field, forcing extra innings. Stanley stole second, but was caught stealing 3rd base, ending the 7th inning threat.

Post 3 had runners on in the 8th  and 9th but good fielding stopped the Red Soix from scoring,  With one out in the bottom of the 9th inning after a walk to Troyer, Post 6 put together one more hit and run with a single by Justin Allen and the walk off RBI, again to right field by Jordan Stanley secured the Post 6 win for reliever Nick Cooper.

Game 2 was stopped because of lightning in the area after 4 innings - Milford has the lead 8-5,

VFW 3420 at Delvets Post 1
- Rained Out

Post 10 Newark - 13, R. C. DuPont Post 18 - 3: RC Dupont scored early taking advantage of two Newark errors, but Newark came back with five runs in the bottom of the first. Four RC walks and a single by Tom Wise did most of the damage.
