Thursday 6/17 Games:
Stahl Post 30 - 10, VFW 3420 - 0 (6): Justin DeLong shut down the VFW while giving up 2 hits, and striking out 4.
Jordie Santak and Brandon Fallers had 2 rbi's each for Stahl.
Sussex East Post 28 Warriors - 6, Sussex West Post 6 Patriots - 5: A leadoff, first pitch home run by the Warriors Kevin Guthrie
proved to be the difference, even when the Patriots had a 7th inning rally,
but fell one run short on a 3rd out catch by, who else, Kevin Guthrie.
The Warriors scored 6 runs in the first three innings, and looked to
run away with the game, but Post 6 starter Hunter Absher found his
control in the 4th and Steve Scharff came in in the 5th, facing just 9
players the rest of the game, striking out 5.
For Post 28, Matt Cleary pitched a 5 hitter for Sussex East with 7
strikeouts, at bat he doubled. Aaron Bennett also doubled for the
Warriors.
Both teams were sloppy in the field, the Warriors had 8 errors, the Patriots 5.
Fox Post 2 - 3, Post 3 Milford Red Sox - 1: Danny Gatto gave Fox Post Two another outstanding pitched game. He gave
up no earned runs and only 5 hits.
For Post Three Nick Grant pitched 3
2/3 inning and had 7 k's. Fox post scrored one run in the first inning
when Zach Mawson lead off with a triple and scored when Bryce Morrow
was out at first on a third strike in the dirt.
Durney Post 27 - 23, Delvets Post 3 - 3: Post 27 broke out of their offensive slump pounding out 14 runs in top half
of the Fifth.
Zack Cook batted 4 for 4 with a Sac-fly including a bases loaded triple, Zack
led the offense with 6 rbi's. Joey Filliban also went 4 for 4 adding 2 rbi's.
D.J. Miller went 3 for 3 with a walk and hbp he scored 5 runs and had 4 rbi's.
Joey Bermingham was 3 for 4 with 4 rbi,s including a bases loaded triple.
Airiane Shankaras scored 4 times and he and Kyle Fields added 2 hits
apiece.
R.C Dupont Post 18 - 9, DE Post 1 - 2:
Scored two more run in
the thrid on two batter hit by pitch and three walks. For Post Three
Jarel Allen was two for two with a double and Devon Reed also had a
double.

Wednesday 6/16 Game:
Post 25 Middletown Firehawks 11, Post 10 Newark - Chad
Kuhl allowed one run on 4 hits through five innings for Middletown.
Middletown led early and worked out of jams in the second, fourth and
fifth innings as Newark had runners in scoring position but were not
able to get the runs in. Tyler Husfelt hit a three run homer in the
sixth as Newark tried to battle back.
Frank Samluk batted 5 for 5 for
Post 25.

Tuesday 6/15 Games:
R.C. Dupont Post 18 - 11, Stahl Post 30 - 8: R.C. Dupont scored 5 in both the topof the 4th and 5th innings to win the game. McGee got the win in relief.
Newark Post 10 - 16, Durney Post 27 - 6: Durney jumped out to a
quick lead in the 1st with doubles by Kascus and Miller, Newark
responded with five runs in the bottom half of the inning after Alex
Woods and Mike Medori led off with singles. Pete Broehl reached on an
error and Taylor Mahoney singled to drive in two runs.
In the second Newarks bats really came alive scoring nine runs and
sending 14 batters to the plate. Taylor Mahoney and Jake Milsead both
doubled and Newark took advantage of a couple of fielding miscues by
Durney. In the third back to back walks to Ryan Vietri and Jake
Milstead followed by a single by Tom Wise provided an additional run.
Newark closed out the scoring in the fifth again benefiting by a pair
of walks to Milstead and Anthony Kaiser with two outs.
Mike Medori singled to score the final run. Adam Pugh went the distance
for Newark scattering six hits and benefitting from some strong defense
behind him to eliminate the Durney threat.
Post 25 Firehawks - 10, Delvets Post 1 - 9: Post 25
jumped out to a seven-run lead after two innings, but Del Vets’ countered
by scoring eight runs in the third and fourth innings to take the lead.
Post 25 battled back with three runs in the
sixth, and Del Vets fell short of victory by producing only one run in the
seventh to hand Post 25 the hard-fought win.
Julius Ryland and Kevin Czacharowski each hit
three-run homers, for Post 25 and Del Vets respectively.
Winning pitcher Frank Samluk was 3 for 4 on
the evening offensively and scored three runs, while Jeff Yermal went 3 for 3,
and batted in three runs for Post 25.
Andrew Blanford knocked in the go-ahead run for Post 25 on a sacrifice
fly to deep center field.
Fox Post #2 - 5, Post #28 - 1. Winning pitcher, Bobby
Brown. Losing pitcher, Jesse Swanson. Fox Post #2 had 10 hits and one error. For
Fox Post, Tommy Dill was 2 for 4 with an RBI. Gary Jones was 2 for 3. Post #28
we had 5 hits with 2 errors. Jesse Long was 2 for 3 with a double. Matt Eskridge
was 1 for 3 with an RBI. Collier Donald was 1 for 2, with a run
scored.
Sussex West Post 6 Patriots - 12, Lewes Post 17 - 4: The Post 6 Patriots got back to their winning ways Tuesday night
with a 12-4 win over Lewes Post 17 as Eric Scharff pitched a 4 hitter,
striking out 12 batters.
Chad Sturgeon (2 for 3, 5 RBIs) and Tyler Troyer (3 for 4, 2 runs)
provided some of the fireworks with a home run each. Sturgeon's blast in
the 3rd drove in 3 runs, Troyer had a solo shot in the first.
Lewes made it interesting while trailing 11-0, they put up 4 runs in the
bottom of the 5th, 3 of them on a Ryan Muchmore homer that continued the
game a full 7 innings. Nate Jones also doubled and scored to lead off
the inning.
For Post 6, Jake Williams doubled and tripled in the game, Kagan Yossick
doubled twice, Conner Cooper also doubled.
The Rainout beetween Fox Post 2 and Post 17 will be played on June 23rd
at Reed Field, Wesley College - Post 17 at Fox Post 2. 6 PM

Sunday (6/13) Games
DE Post 1 at Sussex West Post 6 Patriots:
Game 1: Post 6 - 9, Post 1 - 8 (9): The teams traded the lead back
and forth until Post 1 put up 3 runs in the 5th on a series of single,
taking a 8-3 lead. But the Patriots scored a run in the 6th, then 4
more in the 7th to tie the game. Jamil Moore led off the bottom of the
9th with a single, stole 2nd, and scored the winning run on Tyler
Troyer's walk-off double.
Conner Cooper got the win in relief, Cody Sokosky took the loss
Game 2: Post 1 - 11, Post 6 - 5: Post 1 broke out the bats
after the first inning, pounding out 11 runs on 12 hits, including
doubles by J.C. Paraskicioz and Tucker Kitching. But it was maily
singles, walks, and 4 Patriot errors that kept the home team at bay.
Chad Sturgeon blasted a 370 ft, 3 run home run in the 6th to close the
score, but the Patriots were not going to get a second come from behind
win in Seaford. Dylan Shockley also doubled for the Patriots.
Post 17 at Durney Post 27:
Game 1: Durney - 13, Post 17 - 12:
Durney Post came back from a three run deficit with a walk off single by
Joey Brmingham who went 4-5 with 4 rbi's. including 2
doubles and a triple. Kyle Fields came on in relief and got the
win.
Post 17's Tamiko Saez went 3-4 with two doubles Shawn Davis and Nate
Jones added triples.
Game 2: Durney - 14, Post 17 - 13:
Post 17 batters knocked out 16 hits against DP's pitchers in the nite cap
including a Jake Dmiterchick solo HR as he went 3-4 which also included 2 doubles. Ryan Muchmore went 2-3
with two rbi triples and Kenny Hall was 3-4.
Durney's Adam Szczerba came on in relief in the 5th inning and held off the Post 17
offense giving Durney's offense a chance to come back. Down 13 to 4 at the home half
of the 6th inning Kyle Fields drove in two runs with his rbi triple.
In the home half of the 7th inning DP took advantage of 4 errors and plated
8 runs for the walk off win.Adam Szczerba got his first win.

Saturday 6/12 Games:
Post 3 Milford at Durney Post 27:
GAME 1: Milford 8 Durney 6
:Played at Milford - Post 3 played like it was the home team with run support for
its strong pitching. In the first game Post 3 opened the game with 6
runs on 5 hits and later scored another 2 runs, but had strong pitching
by Denton Mow through 4 innings and Kain Johnson came on to get his
first legion save with 3 solid innings in relief. Durney Post was held
to 4 hits across the first 3 innings with no runs scored but broke out
the bats in the 4th inning with 4 runs. Later in the game Post 27
scored 2 more runs to make the game tight. Score Post 3-8 & Post
27-6.Negron pitched 2 innings and Filliban pitched relief for Post
27.
Game 2: Milford 4 Durney 3: Post 27 scattered 8 hits over 7 innings and scored
3 runs, with Hawthorn pitching strong for the game. But with 6 hits
Post 3 was able to aggressively link together the hits and base running
for 4 runs over the game. Michael Doughty had a strong defense behind
him to help keep the game close and the defense was there for the end
when Cory Smith took the hill for the last 2 outs to preserve the win.
Final score Post 3-4 & Post 27- 3
Fox Post 2 at R.C. DuPont
Game 1: Fox Post 2 -1, R.C. DuPont Post 18 - 0:
Fox Post scored unearned run in the first inning when Zach Mawson lead
off and got on first on an error, went to second on ground ball, to
third on pass ball and scored on Danny Gatto ground out. From here
Tommy Dill took control of the game and shut out RC DuPont on a 3 hitter.
Game 2: Fox Post 2 - 7, R. C. DuPont - 2:
Danny Gatto was 2 for 3, Kevin O'Shea 2 for 4, Steven Barr 2 for 4 and
Zach Mawson double, 2 runs and 2 rbi for Fox Post. The only hits for RC
DuPont was a single by Kip Skibicki and Michael Kreshtool.
Zach
Canndeloro started the game for Fox Post and went 3 inning, 3 k's ,1
earned run, next Zach Mawson pitched two inning to get the win giving
up no hits and 4 k's. Matt mcClain pitched the last two inning with no
hits and 2 k's.
Newark Post 10 at Post 25 Middletown:
Game 1: Middletown 7, Post 10 - 6:
This up and down game brought out the
best in both teams on a Saturday afternoon. Post 25 maintained the lead through
five innings, but Newark battled back in the fifth and put up five runs,
including a two-run RBI double by Alex Woods. In the fifth and sixth, Post 25 answered
with three more runs to cap the lead and win the game. Chad Kuhl went 3 for 3 for Post 25, and hit
a solo home run. Both Kuhl and Ryan
Haas each had two RBI’s on the day for Post 25. WP: Mycek LP: Vietri
Game 2: Middletown - 4, Post 10 - 3:
Another close game between these two
division rivals edged the score in both directions throughout the game. Ryan Vietri
tripled then scored on a sacrifice fly in the second inning for Newark, while
Post 25 manufactured two runs in the second and third to move ahead. Newark put up two runs in the fifth to
recapture the lead, then Post 25 scored two runs of their own in the sixth,
highlighted by a triple from Andrew Blanford, to sweep the double header. WP: Yermal LP:Pugh

Nanticoke Post 6 Patriots at Delvets Post 1:
Game 1: Post 6 - 12, Delvets - 11:
Both teams scored early - Post 6's first 3 batters scored ona Kagan
Yossick doulbe and Tyler Troyer's fielder's choice.But Delvets came
right back with 4 runs of their own including RBI doubles by Kevin
Czachewski and Josh Wooten.
The Patriots came right back, scoring 7 runs to take the lead for good. Kagan Yossick again doubled in the 2nd inning.
The game settled down until the bottom of the 6th, when Delvets scored
4 runs. Andrew Jones led off the inning with a double, and scored on
Jarad Carney's single to right. 3 more runs scored on a Kevin
Czachewski home run to left bringing the score the 12-10. Delvets
scored once more in the 7th, but couldn't catch the Patirots.
Jordan Stanley and Paul Elliot also doubled for Post 6, Jarad Carney tripled for Delvets Mike Cooke also doubled.
Game 2: Delvets - 10, Post 6 - 4:
Delvets scored in 5 of the 6 innings they batted, taking an early lead that they never gave up.
Gary Miraglia and Mike Cooke doubled, Miraglia batted 3 for 3 with 2
RBU's and 2 runs scored. Tyler Absher batted 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs, Jamil
Moore batted 2 for 2 with a run scored.
DE Post 1 at Sussex East Warriors:
Game #1: Delaware Post #1 - 8, Post #28 - 5. Losing pitcher was
Bradley Walker. Winning pitcher's name is not available. Delaware Post #1
had 17 hits and no errors. Evan Hughes went 3 for 5 with 3/RBI's. For Post
#28, they had ten hits and one error. Post #28 had doubles by Collier Donald,
Tyler Dean and Zach Moser. Garret Casale was 2 for 4 with an RBI.
Game #2: Delaware Post #1- 13, Post #28 -1. Losing pitcher was Zach Moser.
Winning pitcher/not available. For Delaware Post #1, they had 3 home runs. Two
were by Peppe and one by Peeples. They also had 17 hits and no errors. Post #28
scored one run on 5 hits.
