Players should download the Official Player Agreement (Form 2) from the Legion Website, and bring it to the tryouts. You will need to complete this form to play in the Delaware League for 2013. All players are required to try out for the team in their zone before any transfers will be considered or approved.

Armistead's team, The Generals, is sponsored by O'Brien Post 10, Newark and TSW, Inc.

The Francis J. Lucia, Jr. Team Sportsmanship Award
Given to the Delaware American Legion Baseball team in the State Tournament exhibiting the principles outlined in our Code of Sportsmanship (below). Both the team and sponsoring post/organization will be given a trophy to commemorate their achievement. Francis J. Lucia, Jr. was a long time supporter and participant in Delaware American Legion Baseball and was Chairman of the league in the 1980's.

The American Legion Baseball Scholarship is an annual award by the National American Legion Americanism Commission to a baseball player in each department who demonstrates outstanding leadership, scholarship, character and citizenship, and who has a demonstrated need for funding to continue their education beyond high school. Players are nominated by their respective team managers in June, and the winner is selected by the Department Baseball Committee each July.
